Ocean City, Maryland Vacation Planner:
Visiting Ocean City as a child, not as a parent, but now living here with my grandchildren showed me what Ocean City has to offer in a unique way. From day trips throughout the year, I will offer my advice on what I've enjoyed over the years.
Things have changed in 50 years, but it is not as much as I thought. When I was a child, the sand dunes and the wilderness in the north of 60th Avenue disappeared. They replaced all high-rise apartments, strip malls, hotels, restaurants and houses in all possible configurations.
Boardwalk currently runs from the entrance to the south end of Ocean City to 26th Avenue. The majority of "actions" are located south from 4th Avenue. If you want actions to remain anywhere, we recommend that you stay on the boardwalk. Those in their teens and those with a little bustle are a wonderful area. Even board walks can be further refined with just the action you want. The further you go from the entrance, the more relaxed the board walk will be. For a complete list of what each area of Ocean City looks like, please visit my article and stay.
Not everyone likes the same entertainment, but I am trying to assume that the main reason for coming to Ocean City is the sea. Our beach is fairly spacious, quite consistent throughout Ocean City, very clean and the whole life cycle is blocked by the communication system connecting the whole beach. One major exception is from entrance to about 6 th city. This area has a very large beach area with volleyball and a playground. This is good for everyday visitors and children, but difficult for the elderly and the disabled. Access to the beach from the edge of the northern Boardwalk is limited to the way through the sand dunes at the end of each street. Chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards can be rented at the entrance to the beach at the time of this writing. There are many places to eat lunch along the board walk, but if you are away from the boardwalk you can make other plans for lunch.
Apart from action, I recommend Assateague Island State and Assateague Island National Park to spend more relaxing days at the beach. The actual park starts from the entrance, but you need to drive for about 15 minutes to get to the park entrance. Route 50 to the west and route 611 to the south. Route 611 ends in Assateague Island. There are state parks and national parks. State parks cost a little to move in, but there is a snack bar. I personally like the national park as it has more than it offers. The state park is limited to the snack bar, but the national park has a canoe rental. There are tours, crab pier, four wheel drive exclusive area (if necessary). From low tide to high tide, fire occurs at the coast during the night. Both areas have lifeguarded beaches, picnic tables, grills, toilets and showers. Campgrounds are available in both parks, but advance booking is almost always necessary.
Entertainment will not stop at the beach.
Board walks provide food for children, rides, games, arcades, shops, of course we all have children. Again, the action is concentrated from the first street to the inlet. I propose Splash Mountain on 30th Street and Coastal Hwy to make children and children happily embraced. There are several types of water slides, lazy river, wave pool, snack bar, and my favorite rain forest. The tropical rainforest is fun for everyone. That means people (like I do fight with people from 6 to 60 people), water slides, huge pirate cap dumping and dumping their contents gradually to anyone underneath, and water spouts From anywhere. Believe me; this huge size water version of the jungle gym is worth the entrance fee unit price. It is a lot of fun to wear a rain hat and a coat with a lifeguard.
There are numerous race tracks for all ages, the mini golf course features something for everyone. For a complete list of fun things, please visit the entertainment page.
Adults have nightclubs that can accommodate all ages and bars with various themes. Seacrets is also popular among young adults, there are radio stations, Fager 's Island is more popular with more sophisticated audiences. Between there is everything from karaoke to the beach bar.
I can send a rainy day. Visit shopping, visit the indoor pool at many hotels, sit on a balcony to see the sea, day trips to the historic Berlin, enjoy a long lunch at the waterfront restaurant.
Dinner in Ocean City is like a family fad for most people. There are so many choices, no one will feel the same at the same time. My family will start talking about dinner plans earlier so you can book as needed. In restaurants that are popular during peak seasons, it may take time for popular restaurants (even if food is just so). My personal recommendation is:
1 Marina deck, great soup and seafood dishes, it's on the water
2-Waterman & # 39; s Seafood Restaurant, a wonderful crab feast and seafood
3-Nick 's original house of Ribs, very good ribs and beef
4-Harpoon Hanna's very good seafood and water (somewhat late service)
5 - The Crabcake Factory USA, the best crab cake,
6 - Higgins Club House, very good crab and good seafood,
7-Bull on the Beach, excellent pit beef, entry of good beef,
8-Adolofo's Italian restaurant, excellent Italian cuisine (expensive)
9-Embers Restaurant, very good seafood and prime rib buffet,
My favorite pizza, 10-Ponzetti's pizza,
Another good pizza and Italian restaurant Lombardy,
12 cherry blossoms, excellent Japanese steak house,
13-Phillip & # 39; s Crab House, good marine products (worth visiting but no longer the best seafood in Ocean City)
The outback steak house is the same food you eat at home, but when you try a new place you get tired.
These are my favorite restaurants. There are many different ideas and many different ideas about what is a good meal. A good restaurant for me is a combination of very tasty dishes, reasonable prices, good service, and various menus for the whole family. Please leave a review of restaurants visited during your stay and help other restaurants choose a good restaurant.
I hope this article gives you a general idea of what a small resort town is. Enjoy your stay and hope to come back every year. Many people have decided to invest in the community by purchasing the summer season and moving to Ocean City for a wonderful lifestyle.
