Do you remember what you played in the Lincoln log as a child? These toy toys have existed for many years and continue to exist in our daily life. One of my favorite activities after the cabin was built to take one of the green roofboards and place it in one of the little logs to use for camping and throwing into the canopy. I could memorize with such a simple toy.

Lincoln Logs was invented by John Lloyd Wright in 1916. He was the son of a famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It was available for purchase in 1918. The log has a notched end that fits together to build a log structure. The original log was 100% wooden and was available in a specific item color. In other words, the roof was green. The design of the log is inspired by the basement of Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. This name comes from the instructions sent with each set on how to build Abraham Lincoln's log cabin.

Due to the advent of plastic injection molding machine and the spread of this new raw material, there are several sets made of plastics. However, in the 1990s, it was made again from vintage trees and continues to be made in wood today.

These small log sets are found all over the world. It is highly likely that you have a set, and if you did not do it, someone of your friend did. More than 100 million sets are sold. The fun thing about these little logs is that they fit together easily and create many structures you can imagine. These toys are a wonderful way for young children to demonstrate wonderful athletic performance. They were very popular, and in 1999 they played in the National Toy Hall of Fame. As set up earlier, the set has instructions. This allows children to work together to achieve the goal of constructing structures according to simple visual instructions. This will allow us to develop skills to be used later in life.

Thinking about today's toys, they are constantly changing. You often ask, "What is the hottest toy on the market?" This question has important implications for marketers in toy manufacturers, but there are always toys that are "old standby" and will continue to provide hours of entertainment for children. Lincoln logs fall into this category. They have lived nearly 100 years, but they are still one of the sellers on the market. Therefore, I vote for these toys to fall into a hobby category.

A definition of one hobby is regular activity that takes place in one leisure time. Lincoln log is purchased, it is played many years ago, so it falls into this category.
