Because I love traveling, it was particularly difficult to choose the theme of this article. I went to a very nice place and I was doing a lot of cool adventures ... But when I look at the skyline in the city, I will have to say a place to raise my spirit. New York City!
There is no place I went. I will be very excited if I go there many times ... I feel like exploding! As everyone knows, there are quite a lot in this city, regardless of this year's time. The one holding a special place in my mind stayed at Washington Square Hotel.
Washington Square Hotel was the first hotel to stay at NYC for the first time. It was a 27 - year - old girl 's trip, it really became music, fashion, party, Hangout. The first trip to the Big Apple, we were a pump! After several investigations, we chose because it was centered around Washington Square. Located in Greenwich Village, the center of the Bohemian Counter Culture in New York, it is reflected in the beat generation attracted by nearby coffee houses and jazz clubs. The room had enough beds and it was easy to go to the club, CBGB, Times Square, Central Park, close to Soho, Tribeca, shoes shopping, outdoor market, clothing shopping. Everything is available by riding Quick Cab.
Another reason why I chose this hotel was for a wonderful history. We learned that once this once large hotel is allowed to transform into an unfamiliar apartment hotel, it is an affordable place for struggling artists, actors, writers and musicians . We liked the sound of this!
Ernest Hemingway stayed at the hotel for several weeks. Bob Dylan, Bill Cosby, Barbra Streisand, B-52, Maynard Ferguson and Bo Diddley are all staying at the hotel. In the 1950s, Dylan Thomas and his wife Caitlin were driven out of the Beekman hotel, but according to legend, the management got tired of excessive demands for their party and room service.
On a more recent trip to "girls", we have been getting older, and this time I have been back when I have not exceeded the planned list. CBGB is gone, things changed. We now want our husband, children, work and want to be spoiled! This time, I chose Affinia Shelburne (formerly Shelburne Murray Hill). There is still Murray Hill, one of the coolest and most convenient places in the Manhattan area.
A nice thing about this place ... There is a rumor that Fred Astaire enjoyed the rooftop miniature golf course on that day. Today there is a barbed, private party space, rooftop lounge "Rare scenery" with favorite adult drinks. Did I mention the scenery? Like the chess board between the two Queenses of Empire State Building and Chrysler Building (I'm sorry, mini golf has disappeared long ago).
Finally what I say ... About girls travel ... I can not share much. What will happen in NYC will stay at NYC !!
