As a child, overnight trips with my family were usually spent on cookie cutter versions such as Holiday Inn, Marriott, Best Western and others. In most cases, I stayed at McDonald's and Burger King in the accommodation industry. The adventures of these small hotels were not completely separated from each other, or were always fun, although they remained memorable. However, on a special summer trip to Washington State, we went out of the comfort zone and stayed for 2 nights at the old farm complex and transformed into a cozy Victorian bed and breakfast.
Our first Bed & Breakfast Experience is a cottage cat, a hot (pond warm) bath, a pancake breakfast, our host (with her deceased farmer's husband and barren hair Many families walking in the memory lane are thanks to the "black widow". Even after 15 years, remembering both the goodness of the old visit and unexpected things always brings on laughter. For my family, one "Black Widow" was worth 12 Holiday Inns.
Unique accommodation can be found in every town in the USA. It takes a little more effort and the current Expedias will not be very useful, but finding accommodation in warmly welcoming bed and breakfasts, comfortable cottages, boutique hotels, historic inn, cabins and vacation home rentals, Persistent memory for the whole family. Vacation accommodation can end with the best part of the vacation!
