On this past Thanksgiving weekend, on an airplane from Chicago to New York, O & Hare parking was my major concern. I wanted to go to the airport for as much time as possible. I parked in a safe and convenient place nearby, and I was lined at the gate at an early stage. I am a little thankful for the threat of the Astroturner in the so-called "day of celebrity opt-out" where protesters refuse whole body scan and instead require patrol by TSA.
I got off the car at the O & Hare parking facility and arrived at the airport three hours early. As you know, it takes 10 seconds to go through the body scan, while patdown takes an average of 4 minutes. If a large number of these people opt out, the resulting long lines will cause havoc in the travel schedules of hundreds of thousands of people. Fortunately, Americans are wiser than that. From what I saw (and thanks to other airports, thankfully) protest planned by the ORD has taken place. When it turned out, it was actually a cumbersome weather to threaten the flight schedule, not some cranks of Speedo.
While I was waiting for the plane with my third coffee (I was drinking the third coffee), I wonder how bad it went, as long as we did early in late 2001 Acts today, at least the O & # 39; hair care parking lot is far better than then.
O & # 39; Hare airport parking lot is expensive in the field and is not used almost even if traveling for a very short period (2 to 3 days). For both the garage and neighboring A, B, C lots, the daily parking fee is $ 31 per day. These can compensate for capacity at peak time. Economy lot E costs only 17 dollars per day, but Mannheim Lord's economy lot F is the cheapest price of $ 9 a day. Both economy lots offer excellent shuttle service and in most cases Lot F is not too bad even if it is possible to park for a long time.
Outside the airport there are several O & Hare parking options. Outdoor valet parking operated by AviStar in N Mannheim Rd is perfect for those wishing to try out parking options outside the airport. The parking fee is about 74 dollars in 7 days. Park and Jet lots near Belle Plaine Ave are very cheap rates at about $ 61 for the same number of days. Other facilities near here, such as Thrifty and Pride lot, are serviced by shuttle cars that all have frequent fares, with fees comparable to those of the previous two.
Parking at the O & Hare airport also has a parking lot for the hotel. Park, sleep, fly & # 39; These airport packages are actually very cost-effective for families and organizations for 10 to 14 days. For example InterContinental will charge you a parking fee with a parking fee of $ 99 to 10 days. Close to the Crowne Plaza there is free parking for $ 109 to 14 days. I have not experienced bad service at these hotels, but a couple friends are not too excited about the shuttle service. In any case, you can park in these facilities without parking, sleeping or frying. package.
For Thanksgiving trip, I used the parking lot 's 3 - day lot F economic O & Hare parking lot. New York trips progressed smoothly as planned and had a good time with their families. I would like to express my gratitude for another Thanksgiving weekend.
